Palo Santo means “holy wood” or “wood of the saints”, a mystical tree that grows on the coast of South America and is related to Frankincense, Myrrh, and Copal. The tradition of using Palo Santo goes back long before the Spanish arrived in Latin America. Indigenous shamans of the Andes already used palo santo in their rituals to cleanse their space, ward off evil spirits, and bring prosperity to people’s lives. Today it is often used to bring positivity in houses and businesses. As well as an aid in meditation practices and to relax the mind.
