This cat-themed bookmark is handcrafted from capiz shell and wire. Capiz is the thin shell of a marine mollusk. First artisans wash and soak shells. After the shells have dried, they are cut into shapes and edged with metal wire. A finishing coat of varnish completes this labor-intensive process. Before glass windows became available in the Philippines, capiz was used for home windows.

Such a Cute Book Mark!

I have purchased multiple of these sweet bookmarks for myself and friends. The are adorable and lay flat so they are easy to carry inside of and don't bother the spine of books. Definitely recommend!

beautiful and cute bookmarks

I have purchased these previously from various vendors and love them. I have given them as gifts several times also. They are large enough to not get lost in a book (as people do), but not too large that they fall out. What person who likes cats and books would not like these?
