Living in a democracy is a wonderful gift that we have as Americans. Not only do we have the privilege of living in a country where our votes count and our voices matter, we live in the most powerful democracy IN THE WORLD.
Who Americans choose as our president changes the course of history. For many of us who have spent our lives here, it can be easy to forget the weight and power of our votes. Each election far too many Americans choose to waive that power. 2020 saw the highest turnout since 1992 and still only 66.8% of the population voted (usafacts.org).
This is your reminder that your thoughts, your opinions, your beliefs, all matter. Early voting has started here in Kentucky and in the majority of states. Please make a voting plan and check in on your friends and family to make sure they have one too. Remind them of what an awesome thing the American experiment is and encourage them to take part in it.
